The key to successful odour control is making sure that the source of the problem is eliminated as well as the airborne odour you smell. The source of an odour will come from either a surface when something has stuck to it or from below the surface where something has seeped through. Airicide®, the key ingredient in all products, modifies the geometry of foul odour molecules to change how they are recognised within the nose. Using odour counteractants, cleansing agents and disinfectants all with Airicide® you can control airborne, surface and subsurface odours.
Dealing with vomit, urine, faeces and blood clean-ups;
Eliminating odours associated with bodily fluids are unpleasant tasks with the associated lingering odours often proving the hardest to remove safely. All products required and procedures to follow are included in our specialist kits designed for specific applications:
designed for the hotel and hospitality industries – sufficient for 6 clean ups
designed for coach, bus and taxi operators – sufficient for 6 clean ups
Recommended general procedures:
- Spray the RX23 Space Spray a couple of times into the air to eliminate the airborne odours to make your work more pleasant.
- Open up the RX17 microcells and place in the area where the odour is the strongest.
- In commercial/vehicle applications put on apron, face mask and gloves contained in RXBPP body fluid clean up protection pack which contains all the items needed to remove spillages while providing personal protection from cross contamination.
- Sprinkle absorbant granules over spill and wait to solidify into a gel.
- Clear away as much mess where possible using the scoop and scraper and place in yellow biohazard bag.
- Spray clean and disinfect all "above the floor" hard surface areas with RX75 antibacterial cleaner - kills MRSA, TB, HIV-1(Aids), wipe with paper towels & place in biohazard bag.
- Thoroughly wet the floor surfaces, carpeted or upholstered areas with RX66 bio-enzymatic cleaner to ensure eradication of any odour producing organic matter that may have soaked into the subsurface of the flooring or fabrics including the backing/padding. Use enough RX66HS to stay wet for 1 to 3 hours. Once this has dried re-apply RX66 to ensure all bacteria is removed.
- Place used protective garments in biohazard bag and discard appropriately.
- Clean hands with RX200 antibacterial hand sanitizer.
- At convenient time clean rest of area with XSR.
- In areas with little air movement i.e. bedrooms, place RXSent1 Sentinel cabinets fitted with RX19 microcells in the room for several days.
