Tuberculocidal & Virucide Surface Odour Control
A patented spray & wipe disinfectant and tuberculocidal cleaner for disinfection, deodorising and cleaning. Kills germs faster. Contains Airicide® .
DESCRIPTION:
PROFESSIONAL GRADE RX75 is a dual quaternary ammonium based disinfectant cleaner that is remarkable for its ability to kill the Mycobacterium Tuberculosis bacilli BCG in addition to a broad range of other Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria, just as it kills HIV 1 (the AIDS virus) and pathogenic fungi. RX75 is not just to guard against cross infection - as a spray & wipe cleaner the same superior ability to penetrate the shell of the TB bacillus makes it outstanding in its ability to penetrate, loosen and remove the most stubborn soil. You will find RX75 to be the best cleaning "spray and wipe" you have ever used. RX75 removes dirt, grime, mould, mildew, blood, urine, faecal matter, and other common soils. It cleans, disinfects and deodorises hard non porous surfaces in one step (for heavily soiled areas a pre-clean with RX75 may be required, then reclean with RX75 for full disinfection). It kills odour causing microorganisms and prevents the growth of mould and mildew.
USES:
To be used where housekeeping is of prime importance in controlling the hazard of cross contamination. For use in hospitals, nursing homes, patients rooms, operating rooms, ICU areas, shower rooms, locker rooms, public restrooms, schools, food service establishments, transportation terminals, office buildings, hotels, veterinary clinics, pet shops, and athlete/recreational facilities. Use to disinfect and clean hard, non porous, inanimate environmental surfaces: floors, walls, metal, plastic & stainless steel surfaces. In bathrooms, use on glazed porcelain, glazed ceramic tiles, shower stalls, bathtubs and cabinets. In the kitchen use on laminated surfaces, baked enamel surfaces, counters, sinks, appliances and hobs.
DIRECTIONS:
DISINFECTION, DEODORISING AND CLEANING: This product is not for use on critical or semi-critical medical device surfaces. Remove heavy soiling prior to application of the product. Hold container 120 to 200mm from the surface to be treated. Spray area until it is covered with the solution. Allow product to penetrate and the surface to remain wet for 3 minutes (for Bloodborne Pathogens: allow surface to remain wet for HIV-1, 1 minute and for HBV, HCV, and HAV 5 minutes). No scrubbing is necessary. Wipe off with a clean cloth, mop or sponge. The product will not leave grit or soap scum. To disinfect food processing premises and food service establishment food contact surfaces: Floors, walls, storage areas, countertops, appliances, tables, etc., remove or protect food products and packaging materials before using RX75. Pre-clean heavily soiled areas with RX75. After disinfection with RX75 thoroughly rinse all areas with potable water. Do not use on eating utensils, glassware and cookware. Disinfection of animal quarters and kennels: Remove all animals and feed from premises. Remove all litter and droppings from floors, walls and surfaces of facilities occupied or traversed by animals. Empty all troughs, racks and other feeding and watering appliances. Pre-clean heavily soiled areas with RX75 and rinse with water. For thorough disinfection, saturate the surfaces with RX75 for a period of 10 minutes (Bovine Viral Diarrhoea Virus (BVDV) 5 minutes, for Feline Calicivirus and Rabies virus 30 seconds, for Canine Parvovirus 10 minutes). Ventilate building and other closed spaces. Do not house animals or employ equipment until treatment has been absorbed, set or dried. All treated equipment that will contact feed or drinking water must be rinsed with potable water before reuse. One step cleaning disinfection of toilet bowls and urinals: Remove water from bowl by forcing water over the trap with a swab mop applicator. Press swab mop against side of the bowl to remove excess water from applicator. Apply RX75 evenly, allowing sufficient time for product to cover entire surface or bowl for maximum cleaning. Swab bowl completely using a scrubbing brush or toilet mop, making sure to get under the rim. Let stand for 3 minutes (for Bloodborne Pathogens: HIV-1 and HBV, HCV, and HAV allow surface to remain wet for 5 minutes) and flush.
EFFICACY
EFFICACY TESTS HAVE DEMONSTRATED THAT RX75 IS AN EFFECTIVE BACTERICIDE, FUNGICIDE, AND VIRUCIDE IN THE PRESENCE OF ORGANIC SOIL (5% BLOOD SERUM):Using approved AOAC test methods RX75 kills the following organisms on hard non-porous inanimate surfaces within the contact time stated:
|
KILLS HIV-1, HBV & HCV ON PRE-CLEANED ENVIRONMENTAL SURFACES/OBJECTS PREVIOUSLY SOILED WITH BLOOD/BODY FLUIDS in health care settings (Hospitals, Nursing Homes) or other settings in which there is an expected likelihood of soiling of inanimate surfaces/objects with blood or body fluids, and in which the surfaces/objects likely to be soiled with blood or body fluids can be associated with the potential for transmission of Human Immunodeficiency Virus Type 1 (HIV-1) (associated with AIDS), Hepatitis B Virus (HBV), Hepatitis C Virus (HCV), and Hepatitis A Virus (HAV). SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR CLEANING AND DECONTAMINATION AGAINST HIV-1, HBV, HCV, and HAV ON SURFACES/OBJECTS SOILED WITH BLOOD/BODY FLUIDS: PERSONAL PROTECTION: When handling items soiled with blood or body fluids use disposable latex gloves, gowns, masks, or eye coverings. CLEANING PROCEDURES: Blood and other body fluids must be thoroughly cleaned from surfaces and objects before application of this product. CONTACT TIME: Allow surface to remain wet for HBV and HBC for 5 minutes, for HIV-1 1 minute. These contact times will not control other common types of viruses and bacteria. DISPOSAL OF INFECTIOUS MATERIALS: Blood and other body fluids should be autoclaved and disposed of according to local regulations for infectious waste disposal.
FUNGICIDAL ACTIVITY: This product is fungicidal against the pathogenic fungus, Trichophyton mentagrophytes (Athlete's Foot Fungus), when used with a 10 minute contact time on clean, non porous, hard surfaces as found in bathrooms, shower stalls, locker rooms, or other areas commonly contacted by bare feet.
MILDEWSTAT: To control mould and mildew on pre-cleaned, hard, non-porous surfaces spray surface to be treated making sure to wet completely. Let air dry. Repeat application at weekly intervals or when mildew growth appears. |
